Choosing the right lash set for your eye shape
Classic, Hybrid or Volume? Each eye shape suits a different style. A quick studio guide so you choose right the first time.
Lashes aren't a "more is better" service. A great set enhances the eye shape you already have — it doesn't sit on top of it. Here's a quick guide from our senior lash artist.
Round eyes
Goal: lengthen and create a soft cat-eye. Hybrid with longer length at the outer corner is ideal — it elongates the eye and adds elegance. Avoid heavy Volume which can make round eyes look more prominent.
Monolid or low-lid eyes
Goal: open up the lid. A Volume set in CC or D curl works beautifully — the curl lifts the lid line and instantly opens the eye.
Large eyes with a deep lid
You already have a strong canvas. Classic or a soft Hybrid keeps things natural and refined. Heavy Volume can hide the beautiful lid space you already have.
Cat eyes / upturned
Wispy or Hybrid Wispy looks incredible on cat eyes — the alternating long-and-short spikes feel like naturally long mascara'd lashes.
Small eyes / heavy lids
Avoid excessive thickness. A Classic set with length increasing from inner to outer corner opens the eye without weighing the lid down.
What to ask at your consult
- How healthy are my natural lashes — can they hold Volume, or should we stay Classic?
- What style suits my face shape and everyday makeup?
- When should I come back for a refill?
At VA Glamour Beauty, every appointment starts with a short consultation. We map your lashes individually — no two sets are alike.
